Johannes Cech studied Business Administration at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. He spent the majority of his professional career at the price comparison platform Geizhals.at, which he helped build for 13 years. Since his exit in 2016, he has been investing as a business angel in numerous early stage startups.

In 2019, he founded Startup Manufaktur, a venture builder focused on creating technology startups and supporting them on their path to market entry.
